So take a deep breath,
pick yourself up, dust yourself off, start all over again ~Frank Sinatra
It’s
been three years since I posted in my blog and I have missed it! A lot has
changed and I am truly happy with my life. I also finally feel like I have
things organized and under control enough to be able to keep up with my
blogging. I decided the best way to
catch up and start over fresh is to write an all new About Me from scratch and
give you an idea of what you can expect to read in the future. So here we go!
About Me (Now)
I’m
Jaime! I am a home-based mommy. I take care of the house, the kids and my Love,
training up and educating our 3 children (D; 12, Nay; 11 & Love bug; 2)
through traditional lessons and everyday experiences. My Love and I work as a
team, with me working inside the home and him working out side of it.
As
well as caring for and educating the children, I also maintain the majority of
the household chores and try to cook as much from scratch as possible. (Side
note: my Love is an amazing cook and housekeeper himself) I am a budget
shopper, a prepper, a writer, and a blogger. We also keep chickens and breed
rabbits.
We
live outside a small town in an even smaller town in the Kern River Valley. I
grew up in the city so living in the mountains is all-new to me. There are
bears, coyotes and mountain lions right outside our back gate. As well as a
variety of birds, lizards and rodents, there is also all manner of creepy
crawlies and arachnids of varying degrees of annoyance and creepiness.
I
haven’t been posting but I have been writing and I have so much I want to share
with you! Homeschooling is a big part of our life and I will be sharing the
various projects that we do. My Love and I are passionate preppers, taking baby
steps toward our Dream Homestead and completing various projects in order to be
able to survive off the grid. I love to do crafts, to make things from scratch
or to take something old and make it new again. Finally, the original motivation
for this blog is to write about what inspires me.
I
believe that one person can make a big change, and I want to be that change…
